The 1st Lamfalussy Sándor Faculty Simulation Competition was organised in the autumn of 2020, and has continued uninterrupted ever since.
Participants were able to try themselves as leaders in a virtual commercial bank.
The competition consisted of two rounds. During the online qualifiers, the teams had to make decisions on a variety of strategic issues to stand their ground in the money market against the other competitors. The simulation offered decision options for finance also for marketing, HR and project management. In the live final, the teams had to present the solution of a creative strategic task to the jury, where 8 teams could entered.
Students of the Budapest University of Economics (Faculty of Finance and Accounting) could apply for the competition in teams of 3 people. 44 teams took part in the competition.

The Lámfalussy Sándor Faculty Simulation Competition was organised in the spring of 2021 also, where the competitors were able to try themselves as leaders of a virtual tech company.
The competition consisted of two rounds. During the online qualifiers, the teams had to make decisions on key strategic issues related to the management of the production and sales company in a competitive environment influenced by economic actors. The simulation supplied decision options in the field of production and sales, money and inventory management, resource management, and marketing.
Students of the Budapest University of Economics (Faculty of Finance and Accounting) could apply for the competition in teams of 3 people. 29 teams took part in the competition.
